The Docket ("we", "us", "our") is a free, not-for-profit event discovery tool operated by Random Software. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app at docket.random-software.com.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your:

Name
Email address
Profile picture URL

We also store data you create within the app, including:

Events you save to your docket
Events you submit
Your display name and public profile slug

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and maintain your session
To save your event preferences and schedule
To display your public docket if you choose to share it
To allow you to submit events for review

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run ads.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google OAuth — for authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
Supabase — for database and authentication infrastructure
Vercel — for hosting and deployment

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically, session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

Your Rights

You can:

Sign out at any time to end your session
Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
Access and export your saved events from your docket

Children's Privacy

The Docket is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
