2BYG combines four talents, minds, and hearts into one bold, bright, and blockbuster vision of what R&B can be in 2025. The Dallas, TX quartet—Matt, Nixx, Tourè, and KD—channel a timeless spirit from a fresh perspective, filtering throwback nineties feels through a Gen Z lens and delivering smooth anthems without comparison. After attracting millions of followers and achieving viral impact, this dynamic collective is ready to make contact with a series of singles for Def Jam Recordings and much more to come. During high school, they made waves on social media with knockout covers of H.E.R., New Edition, Mint Condition, and more. However, it would be their take on “Yams” by Devin Morrison and Masego that caught the attention of Def Jam Recordings C.E.O. Tunji Balogun who promptly signed them. Along the way, they cultivated a slick signature style, merging R&B, soul, hip-hop, pop, and gospel. Choosing a powerful moniker, the name 2BYG—an acronym for “To be young and gifted”—held a special significance. Ultimately, 2BYG are about to reignite R&B for their generation.
