Reverby guitars and post-punk energy meet dreamy Spanish vocals – somewhere between future anxiety and the desire for self-realization. German-Spanish artist grima emerged on Cologne’s wave scene in 2024, leaning into a '90s-inspired shoegaze sound that now defines both his live shows and debut EP. Early single En busca de caught international attention – including airplay by London DJ and musician Nabihah Iqbal on her BBC Radio 6 show. Following his live debut in Berlin, grima played international showcases in spring 2025, including Liverpool Sound City (UK) and c/o pop Festival (DE). His debut EP instantes (antes de caer) was released in July 2025, accompanied by a sold-out release show in his adopted hometown Cologne. The EP was featured on several Spotify Editorial Playlists and even landed the cover of Fresh Finds Spain. Recent highlights include a support slot for acclaimed American shoegaze band glare and three shows at Reeperbahn Festival 2025 – all while grima is already working on new material.
