AKA BK

AKA BK is an alternative indie project based in Los Angeles. With influences from bands like The Pixies, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Breeders, their live show plays like nerves exposed: charged, joyful and disarmingly human, turning their vulnerability into sharpened momentum. The band closes the distance between their fans, both literally and figuratively, inviting them to join in on their tongue-in-cheek moments of mushy playfulness and feverish moshing. The foundation of AKA BK is built on long standing friendships, with BK (lead vocals) and Cecile Herledan (bassist) forming their first band at the age of 11 in Metro Detroit. The band is rounded out by fellow guitarists Julian Cullars and Sean Gunner Lee, who have been playing in LA bands since 2013.
