Based in Los Angeles, wilter is the solo project of Will Durkee. The work functions at the intersection of traditional folk songwriting and IDM-informed production, occupying a liminal space somewhere between Neil Young and Aphex Twin. Following the 2022 EP all this leaving—featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds: Best Folk of 2022—Durkee released the a visual EP chaser in 2024. A debut self-titled album is scheduled for release in 2026.
