Ben Buck

With deep influences in the golden era and traditional styles of underground hip hop, Ben Buck strives to innovate and continue the legacy of artists who paved the way before him. Hailing from a musical family, Ben Buck’s father Mike Buck was a founding member of the legendary blues group “The Fabulous Thunderbirds”. Mike Buck is also the owner of the historic Antone’s Record Shop in Austin Texas where both Ben and his sister Billie work. His sister Billie Buck is also the frontwoman for the punk band “Sailor Poon” (Austin Chronicle’s Best Punk Band 2018-2020). She is a gifted designer and poster artist, and does many designs for Ben’s album covers. Ben Buck has been an omnipresent sight in the Texas music world. He has beatboxed on stage with artists such as Ghostface Killah, Bushwick Bill (Geto Boys), Czarface and Skyzoo. In 2023 the City of Austin Texas honored Buck with the declaration of “Ben Buck Day”, recognized annually on April 13th. Later that year on the Austin stop of “The Eric Andre Explosion Tour” Buck was the invited music guest and was interviewed by the legendary comedian, he performed an impromptu beatbox segment with Eric Andre and freestyled alongside him
