Short Life is a Mexican-born, LA based artist redefining what Latin alternative pop sounds like. Raised between cultures, languages, and expectations, he grew up carrying two worlds at once, Monterrey roots and American influence. That duality became his sound. Singing in Spanish, building an alternative space with indie vulnerability, and pop melody, He gained major recognition last year SXSW after winning a new emerging talent competition hosted by legendary producer Timbaland. But instead of chasing trends, he chose to build a universe. That universe is now evolving. With his latest project, La Vida Corta, Short Life steps fully into an alternative Latin pop direction — darker, more poetic, more intentional. The title carries a double meaning: life is short, and life cuts. Across seven songs, he explores heartbreak, rejection, passion, and healing — not as tragedy, but as transformation. The project leans into atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional tension, pushing beyond genre and into feeling. His music speaks directly to “Los Séptimos,” his growing fan base a community that connects to his message of living fully, loving deeply, and honoring the scars that shape us.
