Amor Vincit Omnia

Amor Vincit Omnia is a pop-project created by producer Baldur Skúlason and singer Erla Hlín Guðmundsdóttir. The band name, translating to Love Conquers All, encapsulates their humouristic approach to serious subjects, since the name is to them, both beautiful and a bit ridiculous at the same time. Amor’s music is best described as playful and eccentric, with an Icelandic sense of carelessness. Their sound is inspired by people who push the boundaries of pop music, such as Björk, Jockstrap and Kate Bush. In 2024, Amor released their debut EP, brb babe, earning them Reykjavik Grapevine’s ‘One to Watch’ and the Kraumur Awards. Since the release, they have played at one of the biggest festivals in Iceland ‘Aldrei fór ég Suður’ and collected over 30 performances around the country. This year they will be playing at the iconic Iceland Airwaves off-venue showcase, demonstrating that they are now ready to take their infectious beats abroad.
